When LEGO is produced and packed, it is done with a high level of quality. There must not be a single brick missing. All employees have this in mind, and it creates a unifying, dedicated team spirit.
I was fortunate to work as a UX contractor at The LEGO Group, where I had the privilege of joining an agile team dedicated to designing solutions for LEGO’s global manufacturing facilities. As designer, I focused on creating intuitive HMI and app solutions for the shopfloor, making sure each design was grounded in user feedback and testing.
The opportunity to dive deep into the world of LEGO’s manufacturing and packing processes was a unique experience. By understanding the intricacies of the systems at play, I was able to make practical design decisions, always with the user’s needs in mind.
I worked alongside talented engineers, product managers, and fellow designers across the supply chain and manufacturing teams, ensuring our designs were both cohesive and aligned with business goals.
The brand at play is an inevitable part of your day at the LEGO Group. Creativity and play ARE in LEGO’s DNA. It’s hard to hide a smile, when you walk through the door in the morning.
